Terms of service
Last updated October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of kingsleymovingco.ca and your interactions with Kingsley Vancouver Moving Co. Ltd. ("Kingsley Moving", "we", "us" or "our") before a move is booked. A booked move may also be governed by a separate quote, booking confirmation or moving service agreement containing job-specific terms. If there is a conflict, the job-specific written agreement will govern to the extent permitted by law.
1. About Kingsley Moving
Kingsley Moving provides residential and commercial moving, packing, unpacking and related moving services in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and other destinations that we agree to serve.
2. Website information and quote requests
Information on our website is provided for general information and may be updated from time to time. Submitting a quote request does not create a booking or require either party to proceed.
A move is booked only when Kingsley Moving confirms the booking in writing and any required booking steps, approvals, deposits or service agreement requirements have been completed.
3. Quotes, pricing and scope
Quotes are based on the information available when they are prepared, including the locations, move date, size and scope of the move, access conditions, requested services, special items and other details that may affect the work.
If the actual move differs materially from the information provided, additional time, labour, equipment, materials or charges may apply. Any material pricing terms, additional charges, payment terms, cancellation terms and other restrictions that apply to a booked move will be disclosed before you enter into the applicable service agreement.
4. Customer information and responsibilities
To help us plan and perform the move safely and accurately, you agree to provide complete and accurate information about the move, including where relevant:
- pickup and destination addresses, move date and access conditions
- stairs, elevators, loading areas, parking restrictions and building move rules
- large, heavy, fragile, high-value or unusually difficult items
- items that may require special equipment, handling or advance approval
- building or strata documentation requirements, including certificates of insurance where applicable
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have authority to move the items presented for transport and for complying with applicable building, parking and access rules. Kingsley Moving may decline to move items that are unsafe, unlawful, inadequately prepared, outside the agreed scope or require specialized services that have not been arranged.
5. Packing, access and site conditions
Where the customer is responsible for packing, boxes and containers should be reasonably suitable for transport and clearly identified where special handling is needed. Please disclose conditions that may materially affect the move, including unusually long carries, restricted access, stairs, elevator booking windows, fragile surfaces or other site-specific risks.
6. Insurance, property damage and claims
Kingsley Moving maintains commercial general liability and cargo insurance and is registered with WorkSafeBC. Our website may state current policy limits, including $2 million in commercial general liability coverage and $100,000 in cargo coverage.
Insurance is subject to the applicable policy wording, limits, deductibles, conditions, exclusions and the facts of any particular loss. References to insurance on our website are for general information only and do not create, extend or guarantee insurance coverage for any specific item, event or claim.
Any responsibility for loss or damage to customer property will be determined under the applicable service agreement, applicable law and the relevant insurance terms. If a booked move includes specific notice, documentation or claim-reporting requirements, those requirements will be provided in the applicable agreement or booking documentation.
7. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
Any cancellation, rescheduling, deposit and refund terms that apply to a booked move will be disclosed before the customer enters into the applicable service agreement and will form part of the booking documentation.
Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund or other rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
8. Communications
By requesting a quote or booking a move, you authorize us to contact you using the contact information you provide for purposes related to your inquiry, quote, booking, payment and move.
If you separately consent to marketing, or where otherwise permitted by law, we may also send Kingsley Moving marketing communications. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
9. Website use
You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes related to learning about, requesting or arranging Kingsley Moving services. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code or use website content in a way that violates applicable law.
10. Intellectual property
The Kingsley Moving name, logos, branding, website design, written content, graphics and other materials on this website are owned by Kingsley Moving or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or commercially use these materials without our written permission, except as permitted by law.
11. Third-party services and links
Our website or communications may link to or rely on third-party services such as payment, mapping, email, scheduling or other providers. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Kingsley Moving is not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.
12. Website availability and disclaimers
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or current. Website content does not replace the specific terms of a written quote, booking confirmation or moving service agreement.
13. Limitation relating to website use
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kingsley Moving is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the website. This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and it does not replace any liability terms that may apply to an actual booked move.
14. Privacy
Our collection, use and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on kingsleymovingco.ca.
15. Consumer rights
These Terms are intended to operate alongside applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms waives or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Subject to any rights that cannot be waived, disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the courts of British Columbia.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our website, services or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on kingsleymovingco.ca with the date of the latest update.
